Nadal Vs Zverev French Open 2022 Full Match

Roland-Garros: Rafael Nadal reaches 14th French Open final

Nadal defeats Zverev in thrilling semifinal

Zverev forced to retire due to injury

Rafael Nadal is through to the French Open final for the 14th time in his career after a gripping semifinal victory over Alexander Zverev on Friday.

The match was evenly poised at 7-6 (8), 6-6 when Zverev was forced to retire due to an ankle injury. The German had been playing well and had pushed Nadal to the limit, but he was unable to continue after rolling his ankle late in the second set.

Nadal will now face Casper Ruud in the final on Sunday. Ruud is the first Norwegian man to reach a Grand Slam final.

Nadal is seeking his 22nd Grand Slam title, which would move him two clear of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in the all-time standings.
