Brandon Nimmo and Jeff McNeil Lead the Way

Mets Outlast Opponent in Exciting Game

Brandon Nimmo hit a three-run home run and Jeff McNeil added a two-run shot as the New York Mets defeated their opponent 7-3. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Mets and moved them into a tie for first place in the NL East.

McNeil's home run was his 12th of the season and his third in the last four games. It was also his first home run since returning from the injured list with a left hamstring strain.

The home run came on a 2-0 count and traveled 380 feet to left-center field. It extended the Mets' lead to 5-0 and gave them a comfortable cushion.
