Knicks Sign Morris, Shamet to Exhibit 9 Deals

New Additions Join Knicks Training Camp Competition

The New York Knicks have added forwards Markieff Morris and Landry Shamet to their training camp roster on non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts. Morris, 33, is a 10-year NBA veteran who has played for the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Miami Heat.

Morris Brings Experience and Versatility

Morris is a versatile forward who can play both power forward and center. He is known for his toughness, rebounding ability, and outside shooting. Morris averaged 11.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season with the Heat.

Shamet, 25, is a 6-foot-4 guard who was acquired by the Knicks in a trade with the Phoenix Suns in July. He is a career 40.4% three-point shooter who has averaged 9.3 points per game in his four NBA seasons.

Shamet Adds Perimeter Shooting

Shamet will provide the Knicks with much-needed perimeter shooting. He is a catch-and-shoot threat who can also create his own shot. Shamet averaged 42.2% from three-point range last season with the Suns.

The Knicks are hoping that Morris and Shamet can contribute to their young team. Both players have experience playing in the playoffs, and they will provide the Knicks with some much-needed depth.

Morris and Shamet Will Compete for Roster Spots

Morris and Shamet will have to compete for roster spots in training camp. The Knicks have a number of other forwards and guards on their roster, including Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, and Quentin Grimes.

Morris and Shamet have a good chance of making the Knicks' roster. They are both experienced players who can provide the Knicks with something they need. Morris is a tough, physical forward who can rebound and shoot. Shamet is a skilled shooter who can create his own shot.

The Knicks' training camp will begin on September 27th. Morris and Shamet will have a chance to prove themselves to the coaching staff and earn a spot on the roster.
